Danville is considered by many to be the “Carmel” of central Contra Costa County. With it’s shopping and restaurant options and no parking fee (ie no meters), people flock to this quaint downtown area to meet friends at the local Starbucks, meet for lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants or to enjoy just window shopping along Hartz Ave. Danville was a primary stop along the Union Pacific railroad line connecting San Jose to the south and Martinez to the norther. In fact the restored train station is still located on Railroad Ave and is open most days for tours. There is little doubt then that homes for sale in Danville are usually highly sought after and usually don’t stay on the market long.
